anjuta software package provides GNOME development IDE, for C/C++, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install anjuta
anjuta is installed in your system.
Make ensure the anjuta package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep anjuta *
You will get with anjuta package name, version, architecture and description in a table
